Content Guidelines

AumFriday supports independent publishing, but not every type of content is allowed. These guidelines explain what writers must avoid, how reports are reviewed, and how the strike system affects account access.

Content includes article text, headlines, links, images, embedded media, and other material submitted through the editor.

What we expect from writers

  • Publish original work or properly licensed material.
  • Use clear sourcing for factual or sensitive claims.
  • Do not use the platform for coordinated spam, deception, or abuse.
  • Review your article before publishing, especially when covering controversial topics.

Prohibited content

The following categories may lead to removal, strikes, restrictions, or suspension:

Hate speech or targeted harassment
Plagiarism or unauthorized reuse
Spam, scams, or deceptive links
Fake or seriously misleading information
Threats, incitement, or glorification of violence
Doxing or privacy invasion

How reporting works

Readers can report an article directly from the article page. Reports enter an admin review queue and are not treated as automatic guilt. Admins review the report reason, the submitted description, the article itself, and any moderation history before taking action.

Enforcement ladder

The live moderation system uses account state and strikes together. Depending on severity, admins may also apply manual overrides.

Typical progression
Strike thresholds are configured by the moderation team and applied consistently across the admin panel and dashboard.
Account health can progress through warning, restriction, suspension, and ban based on the active policy and any manual override.
  • Warned: the user receives a visible warning and reason context.
  • Restricted: the user may save drafts but cannot publish.
  • Suspended: account access and dashboard actions may be blocked until review.
  • Banned: used for severe or repeated abuse.

Removed article behavior

If an article is removed after moderation, the same article may remain available to the writer as an editable draft for reference, review, or copying. That does not mean it can be republished. The removed article itself may stay locked from future publication even if editing remains available.

Appeals and review requests

Where the system provides it, users can request review of a moderation decision from the dashboard or suspended-account page. Appeals are reviewed by admins and tied to the related strike or moderation record.
